"GP"

i'm sitting in the hospital with grandmother peggy. she got her 2nd new hip and is doing great. i wish MY patients were like her. all the nurses love her, obviously. right now she's taking a little snooze. but she's moving around great and being hilarious while doing it. she even gave me the coffee off her breakfast tray this morning. i realized why she was so eager to get rid of it when i took a sip. she's also telling all the nurses & doctor about how i used to stay w/ her all the time & various stories from my childhood. they'll probably be glad when i leave. it's kind of nice to be a visitor at the hospital instead of an employee :)
last night we couldn't figure out how to turn off the television.... i mean, i figured i could at least be helpful with that. the power button on the remote wouldn't work, even though every other button worked. i even managed to reach the power button on the tv that's like 9' high & it didn't work either. apparently, to turn off the tv, you "simply" turn to channel 87 and then press the channel up button once and the tv goes off. why? why. i think if i tried to take a picture of grandmother right now she'd slap me (even though she has already bathed, changed into cute pink pj's, fixed her hair & "put on her face" this morning & looks great) so here's a pic from the rehearsal dinner. oh, she's awake! goodbye.
