valentines comida

feb 14th 2009 marked our third valentines day together. it's our second v-day where we a) knew each others names or b) cared about each other. and our first v-day married. so we cooked a feast & watched 1.5 really bad movies. but the food, and the company, were delightful :)

i was in charge of sides. and they were: sauteed asparagus and shallots. "mashed potatoes" (translation--mashed cauliflower with cheese.)

tanner was in charge of meat, wine, dessert, etc. and here he is with his grill.

and here we have the finished product. delicious.

here we have the roses he bought me for v-day and the table we're obviously not selling. we're too attached :)
and for dessert-homemade vanilla bean ice cream in the maker the mitchells got us for wedding day. we are working on mastering it ;) (i would link the mitchells blog but they DONT HAVE ONE and really need to get one.)
