Lists & Mouths

I really like lists. I am becoming increasingly forgetful these days, so if I don't write things down, they don't get done.
Today, I had the mac-daddy list, custom made by Mr Bacon himself (with my input, of course) and I would say that all in all it was a pretty productive day, even though there are still some things to be marked off the ol' listaroo.
Summer and I used to sit in language class in East Asia and make lists of our favorite things about every aspect of life. Summer loves favorites. And one of her favorites, if I remember correctly, is miniature things.

Every now and then I try to think of a list my favorite things about my life. I used to try to ask people that question here and there, but I've kind of quit... maybe I'll bring that back. That's a good thing for me to think about, because sometimes I get grumpy over stupid really ridiculous stuff. Like tonight at Target when I got ill because I couldn't decide which fan to buy for my room and then I couldn't find my facewash. I mean, a fan? Seriously, Staci, get it together immediately. I am blessed with a really sweet life, so I shouldn't be complaining about one single thing.
During my leisure walk the other day I was listening to Matt Chandler via iPod & he said, among other smart things, "heaven is only heaven because Jesus is there" and I've been thinking about that a lot. Th
at doesn't really qualify as a favorite thing about life, but more of a favorite thing on my mind lately. A lot of times I look forward to heaven because of things like no more worries or unlimited chocolate (which, is that even a guarantee? Probably not biblical:) or no more busy nights at work or no more trials over which fan to choose ;) but is that really what heaven is about? Au contraire! Heaven is heaven because Jesus is there! That's something to look forward to with a lot of excitement. Beats unlimited chocolate any day of the week.
What do these pictures have to do with this blog? Nothing really (although these are three of my favorite people). But tonight Tanner was showing off his giant mouth and I snuck almost my whole fist in there before he had a chance to protest. So that was fun for me. This experiment was inspired by Denise fitting her entire fist into Kalle's mouth a while back. Kal has a pretty big mouth, too, as pictured above. I mean, in literal size. Although, come to think of it, Tanner and Kalle are both talkers, so maybe there is a connection :-)
